  7.2 "[In order] to"  

When you are going somewhere [in order] to do something, there are three ways to express this in Urdu:

میں پھل لینے بازار جا رہا ہُوں۔

"I am going to the bazaar [in order] to get fruit."

میں پھل لینے کے لِیے بازار جا رہا ہُوں

"I am going to the bazaar in order to get fruit."

میں پھل لینے کو بازار جا رہا ہُوں

"I am going to the bazaar [in order] to get fruit."

 

Note that you can omit کے لِیے just like in English you can omit the words "in order." The verb must be in oblique form!

 

وہ جگہ گھو منے کے لِیے اَچھی ہے

"That place is good for walking."
