Since / For


In Hindi, we use the postposition से to mean "since" and "for" in the following sentences.

Note that the verb is in the present progressive tense or the simple present:

मैं कल से काम कर रही हूँ।

"I have been working since yesterday."

मेरी माता पाँच दिनों से यहाँ हैं।

"My mother is here for five days."
