Memorize at least two or three ways of asking what time it is:

Memorize the following.

किस समय, किस वक़्त

at what time

छै बजे

(at) six o'clock

एक बजा

one o'clock (nominative)

सात बजे

(at) seven o'clock

एक बजे

at one o'clock (oblique)

आठ बजे

(at) eight o'clock

दो बजे

(at) two o'clock

नौ बजे

(at) nine o'clock

तीन बजे

(at) three o'clock

दस बजे

चार बजे

(at) four o'clock

ग्यारह बजे

(at) eleven o'clock

पाँच बजे

(at) five o'clock

बारह बजे

(at) twelve o'clock

Note that we do not use " को" or any other postposition in "o'clock expressions: e.g. एक बजे, सात बजे , etc.

All oclock expressions are in oblique ( बजा becomes बजे ) but the postposition is only implied, not actually present; i.e. in English we say " at X o'clock," but in Hindi "at" is not there.
