Emphatics

Hindi has two emphatic particles, ही and भी, which are used for different kinds of emphasis.The emphatic particle goes right after the thing you are emphasizing.

ही has an "exclusive" meaning:	मैं ही यहाँ का काम करती हूँ।	Only I work here.
भी has an "inclusive" meaning:	मैं भी यहाँ का काम करती हूँ।	I also work here.

Many words form special contractions with ही : (and these are only a few of many)

सब	अब	कब	तुम	वह	उस	उन
सभी	अभी	कभी	तुम्ही	वही	उसी	उन्हीं

यह	इस	इन	वहाँ	यहाँ	कहाँ
यही	इसी	इन्हीं	वहीं	यहीं	कहीं
